The Master - "Hostages" 1984

The senator is throwing a fancy party.  His staff is worried about security. He compliments his daughter who smiles at her daddy. They are interrupted by terrorists who attempt to kidnap several guests, including the senator.

The Master intervenes, knocking down one of the baddies so that the senator gets away.   He watches in shock as his daughter is taken away in the helicopter.

Is in police headquarters as they plan a rescue attempt.  As the police lose contact with the Master, they assume that the plan failed and that the hostages are dead so they have to send in an attack group to finish off the terrorists.  Of course,   the Master rescued everyone so there is a happy ending.  :).
